Cancellation & Refund Policy

BY BOOKING WITH R&D CLEANING, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW.

When you schedule a cleaning appointment with R&D Cleaning, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this agreement. These terms, along with any confirmation emails or service schedules we provide, make up the complete agreement between us.

If any part of this policy is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will still apply in full. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] for clarification. We reserve the right to update these terms, and any changes will be communicated in writing.


1. Freedom from Long-Term Contracts

We believe in earning your business with great service — not locking you into commitments. You can cancel your service at any time; just give us notice as outlined in our cancellation terms.


2. Satisfaction Guarantee

For recurring customers (weekly, biweekly, or monthly), we offer a 24-hour Satisfaction Guarantee. If you’re unhappy with any part of your cleaning, notify us within 24 hours and we’ll come back to re-clean the affected areas at no charge.
Refunds are not issued unless a re-clean has first been offered and completed.


3. Prepaid Service Discounts

Customers who prepay for a full year of recurring service after their first cleaning receive 5% OFF the total.
If you decide to cancel:

  1. Please give at least one scheduled cleaning’s notice.

  2. The 5% discount will be deducted from your remaining prepaid balance before a refund is issued.


4. First Cleaning & Recurring Rates

If you book recurring service but cancel after only one cleaning, that cleaning will be billed at our one-time cleaning rate instead of the discounted recurring rate.


5. Scheduling & Arrival

We clean homes 6 days a week between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. While we aim to keep consistent time slots, schedule changes may occur. You may occasionally be rescheduled for a different time of day depending on route adjustments.


6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation, reschedule, or skipped service. Without proper notice, one of the following will apply:

  • $70 late cancellation fee, OR

  • 50% of the scheduled cleaning cost if our team arrives but is unable to complete the job.

This fee will be charged to the card we have on file.


7. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full on the invoice due date.

  • All cleanings are charged to the credit card on file unless mentioned by customer otherwise.

  • Cancellations and fees are also processed via the card on file.


8. Supplies & Special Requests

We provide all standard cleaning supplies and equipment. If your cleaning requires specialized products or equipment outside of our standard toolkit, additional charges may apply.
Special cleaning requests should be made at least one business day in advance.


9. Working Environment & Safety

Our cleaners must be able to work without unnecessary interruptions. Disruptions from pets, contractors, or other individuals can delay work.
If at any point a cleaner feels unsafe or unable to perform their duties, they may leave the property — and the full cleaning fee will still apply.


10. Liability for Personal Items

  • High-value or sentimental items should be cleaned by the owner.

  • We are not responsible for damage to items that were already broken, improperly secured, or in unstable condition.

  • We are not liable for damage caused by customer negligence.


11. Cleaning Limitations

Some stains, buildup, or damage may require multiple visits to address fully. We’ll always work with you to find the most effective, cost-efficient approach.


12. Direct Hiring of Staff

Our cleaners have signed agreements that prohibit accepting work directly from R&D Cleaning clients for one year after their employment ends.
If you wish to hire a cleaner directly, a $1,000 referral fee will apply. Once this fee is paid, R&D Cleaning will no longer provide management, liability coverage, or scheduling for that cleaner.


13. Health-Related Cancellations

If anyone in your household is experiencing a contagious illness, please notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled service. We may reschedule in such cases to ensure safety.


14. Access & Security

If your home has a security system, please provide access details or disable it during your scheduled cleaning window.


15. Time Estimates

Our pricing is based on the service provided, not the number of hours worked. If your home requires more than one additional hour beyond the scheduled cleaning time due to its condition, we may bill for the extra time.
